Take the Eastern Freeway exit toward Burke Road, then south until the elms begin.
The streets here are wide. Hedges high. Houses sit behind stone walls and iron gates — some have names cast in metal, not numbers on a post. The quiet is deliberate.
We delivered to a house on Mont Albert Road last month. The note simply said: "For the dining room." No name. No occasion. A housekeeper met us at the side gate, took the arrangement without a word, and disappeared inside. We never saw the recipient.
That's Canterbury. Flowers that arrive and belong without announcement.
Another delivery, deeper in near the Canterbury Sports Ground. A son overseas ordered a bouquet for his parents' 50th anniversary. He sent a photograph — his mother's wedding bouquet from 1976, faded colour, tight roses and stephanotis. We recreated it as closely as we could. His mother called us herself: "I didn't think anyone still knew how to make these."
In Canterbury, flowers don't just arrive. They return.
