We delivered to a house near the Camberwell Junction last week. The note said: "Welcome back." The owners had been overseas for a month. The flowers — stock, lisianthus, soft greenery — were left on the doorstep, waiting for their return. A photo came later: the arrangement on the kitchen table, jet-lagged morning light through the window.
