To Box Hill — With Flowers
The Addresses We Know by Heart
Afternoon Journeys: Why We Frequently Visit Box Hill
It isn't just because of the rising skylines, or the new cafes popping up on every corner.
It's because we remember exactly where every bouquet delivered to Box Hill eventually finds its home—
Some go to the new apartments on Whitehorse Road. Young couple, first home together. The flowers arrive before the furniture does.
Some are carried into the vibrant cafes on Station Street. Third anniversary. The owner wipes her hands on her apron before she takes the vase, because this one is for her.
Others are ordered by daughters for their mothers near the Presbyterian Church. Sunday lunch isn't possible this week, but a bunch of her favourite flowers—that is.
Then there are the deliveries down Nelson Road, pulling up quietly at the entrance of Box Hill Hospital.
These are always the most serene.
We walk through the corridors with focused care, place a delicate arrangement by the bedside. No loud celebration. Just a silent companion—letting the natural fragrance offer what words sometimes cannot: comfort, and a wish for a swift recovery.
From our studio in Nunawading, it's a 15-minute drive to any of these places.
15 minutes is short. But it's just long enough for us to wonder, every time:
What kind of smile will these flowers bring today?
If you have someone in Box Hill—whether it's a new home, a new chapter, or a hospital room that needs a little quiet company—we can be there today.
