Hydrangea is one of the most beautiful blooming plants. It is a deciduous shrub that grows to be 2 meters tall and 2.5 meters wide, with enormous heads of pink or blue blooms in the summer and fall. The flowers of Hydrangea can be blue, crimson, pink, light purple, or dark purple. The pH of the soil influences the hue. An acidic soil (pH below 7) produces flowers that are more blue, whereas an alkaline environment (pH above 7) produces blooms that are more pink.
